I had the opportunity, thanks to Professor Reich and Substack to enroll online in his last 10 classes on Wealth and Poverty and very much look forward to the film.

I was also able to “take” his last class, and I too look forward to seeing the film. I remember being verklempt during the final class. The respect he had for his students was so very touching.

I have followed and learned from Professor Reich for decades.

His Wealth and Poverty class was wonderful.

His Coffee Klatch with Heather is my Sat morning norm,

I am so glad you have captured his last class.

I am so glad to get to know more about him, more about Heather, and more about you.

This is how our lives are bigger.

I can’t wait to see this documentary, thank you for providing a viewing for us here at Through the Fog.

I loved your Roger Evert quote and agree wholeheartedly.

During these troubling times, I have been buoyed by this Jane Goodall quote,

“ Only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, we will help. Only if we help, we shall be saved."

Only through education, as in your science films, other projects, and in this documentary, can we understand, care, help , and be saved,

Thank you for your continued goodness, decency, and wisdom, I am so glad that your talent has had the opportunity to be heard, and that you have been able work with other wonderfully talented people and share your gifts with all of us. We are in this together,

I can't wait to see this and share it with my 15 year old daughter. Reich is so compassionate, smart, and such a compelling teacher--just what we need right now.

I'd be glad to see the film I'd like to and I clicked on the button to see the film expecting that I would get a prompt for both email address and zip code or something to identify where I am so that can see where there's enough people to show it. But all I got was my email address which is likely not to be very useful since a reply would likely just go into the nowhere land of not personal and I don't see it. As this is a new thing, I suggest changing that form and adding in a zip code or something like that country State City I don't know.

Thanks Dan. We wanted to keep the sign up simple at this point but we are going to reach out to the list to let people know about schedualed screenings and opportunities to bring the film to your communities.

This will have to be an overall positive film since Robert Reich is a silver lining guy. I can't wait to see it.

Hope we get to see this online. It's probably not going to make it to cinemas in Australia

Thanks Elliot, I signed up to see the film and I'm excited. Currently re-reading Bronawski's "The Common Sense of Science," should be good film prep.

So can we recommend independent theaters in this far flung country who might run the film? Or is there a distributer? How does this work?

Elliot Kirschner's avatar

Great question Karen. We have a destributor that will be booking the film in some theaters. We are also arranging screenings in others directly as one-off events. If you want to share the name of your local theater here, we can look to add it to the list and let youi know. Thnak you for your interest.

My fave here is The Grand Cinema, 606 Fawcett Ave, Tacoma WA. Multiple small theaters in the same building. They run some top draws, but I mostly have gone there for the little films (like Anomalisa, 2015) that are never shown at the Barbie theaters.

The Riverview Theater at 3800 42nd Avenue South in Minneapolis is another good one.

I saw this and signed up to watch it on that *other* substack this afternoon and was just telling John about it over dinner--that is so cool to hear that you were central to producing it! I can't wait to watch. I also plan to watch his online courses--have really enjoyed following his weekly chats. Public education needs all of our full support more than ever at the current time!
