Loved it Elliott. Great read. I believe he is deathly afraid of this case as I am quite sure that a whole bunch of other unfavorable stuff about him will come out. And I’m sure the prosecutors will do a fine job of painting him as the true low life using the worst possible language in our language.

Great references to April 15. Let’s not forget it is also income tax day. How appropriate for the man who refuses to release his tax returns. I hope the late night talk show hosts have some fun with that. And lastly, I am writing, as a Manhattanite, who for the first time in her life, is disappointed that I wasn’t called for jury duty.

I love how your mind works! This is really brilliant. And thank you for "I think there has been a lot of misogyny in the coverage" of the upcoming trial. Yes. There has. Really, misogyny in most coverage of his predatory violence.

Thanks, Elliot. As a student of history, I long ago came to the conclusion that there is a connectedness in history that is fairly amazing. History for me is of one cloth. People, events, and situations offer tethered filaments to each other, patterns are established and repeated, and seemingly unimportant circumstances usher in great sea changes. Historical data allow us to understand and even predict what will happen in the future. We are immersed in what many have branded as "unprecedented" times, but as always when honorable persons openly stand for what is right, a predicted or even inevitable outcome may be altered. Good comes from chaos and fear just as it does from serenity and hope. April ides or not, it is possible to anticipate good news.

The april 15th liberation of the nazi camp and how we must never forget leaves me feeling very sad as i heard a stat that 25% of Americans believe the Holocaust never happened. Have you heard that or something close?

This reality is so nauseating! How many of us would have never dreamed of coming to the US if we could have forseen what is happening. May TRUTH and TRUE PATRIOTISM WIN! If Democracy dies in the US, there is no hope for the rest of the world. My heart aches for future generations if we fail to act NOW.

It's nice to hear from a journalist who can admit there's little to write about, and then go on and give us some context and interesting facts. The constant pressure of corporate executives to produce something sensational has reporters filling column inches with stories about how Trump said something both stupid and inconsequential. Such is not news, such is not news, such is not news ............, and we have stopped subscribing to newspapers because they offer us nothing that informs or interests us.

April 15, 2024 - This date marks the start date of the Storm Daniels trial which ended with Donald Trump’s first criminal conviction in a series that followed. It also marks Trump’s peak popularity in polls which continually dropped until his election defeat, experienced from a jail cell.

Thanks for a great piece trying to link Trump’s April 15 Manhattan Court date wit historic events that occurred on April 15th in previous years. I think a good case can be made for an analogy with the final sinking date for the RMS Titanic and Trump’s fate. Although April 15 is the start of the trial, the consequences for Donald Trump could be titanic. The facts of the case are fairly straightforward and follow the legal conviction path of attorney Michael Cohen. A felony conviction for Donald Trump could sink his election chances with some Republican voters who would not vote for a felon. We can all hope that in the only sure trial before the Presidential election that Trump meets a fate with Titanic consequences!
