I grew up in San Francisco, and I’ve always loved the fog. It shrouds the familiar in ways that force us to consider the world from new perspectives. 

In my career as a journalist, filmmaker, author, and father, I have always liked trying to bring clarity to complex notions and narratives. Through the Fog is a community of exploration in an idiosyncratic world, where we try to find connections and mutual understanding on topics ranging from current events, to science, to the arts.
